Men of Grace exist to build leaders through the Word and through relationships.
The Mission
“Building leaders through Iron sharpening Iron, and the teaching of God’s Word, so that men lead their families, the church, and in the workplace for the glory of God.”
(1 Cor. 16:13, Tit. 2:1-8).
(1 Cor. 16:13, Tit. 2:1-8).
The Need
There are several ministries in the local church that stand out as critical to her health. Paul in 2 Tim. 2:2 communicates necessity for raising up leaders in the church, “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” The genesis of this comes from Jesus Christ. Jesus called to himself 12 men (Matt. 4:18-22). These men would be the ones that Jesus poured his life into for the next three years (Mk. 3:14). The church must follow the patterns set by Jesus and Paul. The church’s greatest need is gifted and godly men. In order to meet this, need the church cannot be passive, but active in developing men.
The Method
At the heart of this is discipleship—raising up men to live for the glory of God. The method to foster discipleship is through two biblical principles.
Building relationships (Mk 2:2,2:23,3:9,5:1, Jn. 13:1-12, 21:15).
In-depth teaching of God's word (Mk. 2:2, 4:13, Lk. 24:27).
Following the model of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul by training leaders through relationships and a systematic teaching of God's word is the core of MOG.
